Mpadel (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices when you use our website, apps, and services (collectively, the “Services”).
1) Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
1.1 Account and profile details
- Name, email address, phone number (if provided)
- Account login details (stored securely)
1.2 Venue / coach / event listing details
- Business/venue name, location (city/province), contact details
- Listing content such as descriptions, amenities, images, and a Playtomic link
1.3 Usage and analytics
- Pages viewed, clicks, device/browser information, and approximate location (e.g., city)
- We use this to improve the Services and measure performance (e.g., listing views and Playtomic link clicks)
1.4 Communications
- Messages you send to us (support requests, contact forms)
- Email preferences (e.g., newsletters, product updates) if you opt in
1.5 Payments (via third parties)
If you purchase a subscription, sponsored placement, or other paid service, payments are processed by third-party payment providers (such as Paystack). We do not store full card details on our servers. Payment providers may collect and process your payment information in accordance with their own privacy policies.
1.6 MPadel Coaches mobile app
- Coach profile information, availability, booking details, and photos you choose to upload
- A push-notification device token so we can deliver operational updates when you allow notifications
- Bank-account details submitted for coach payouts; our payment provider verifies the account and we retain only the operational references and masked details needed to administer payouts
- Biometric templates are handled by your device. MPadel does not receive or store your Face ID or fingerprint data
The Coaches app does not request device location, access your contacts, use advertising identifiers, or use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.
2) How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate the Services (create accounts, publish listings, enable discovery)
- Communicate with you about service updates, support, and important notices
- Measure and improve performance (analytics, troubleshooting, feature improvement)
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Process payments, subscriptions, and invoicing (through payment providers)
- Comply with legal obligations
3) Legal basis (POPIA)
Where applicable under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), we process personal information based on:
- Your consent (e.g., marketing communications)
- Performance of a contract (e.g., providing the Services you request)
- Legitimate interests (e.g., improving the platform, preventing fraud)
- Compliance with legal obligations
5) Data retention
We retain information only as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business or legal purposes (e.g., accounting, dispute resolution). You may request deletion of your account, subject to legal retention requirements.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to maintain appropriate controls.

Coaches can initiate account deletion inside the MPadel Coaches app from Profile > Account and security > Delete account. The account is disabled and removed from public discovery immediately. Some transaction, dispute, security, or legal records may be retained for the period required by law or legitimate operational needs, after which eligible personal data is removed or anonymised.
8) Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies or similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure site performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
9) Children's privacy
Our Services are not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will address it.
10) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised effective date.
